-Paper Wasps-
Paper wasps create an umbrella shaped nest out of paper with cells in the bottom, that usually range in size from a half dollar to a small dinner plate (about 1 inch to 8 inches). There are anywhere from 1-25+ wasps per nest, and they are characterized by long skinny bodies the width of a pencil and length of a wine cork. They have orange wings and yellow-black, hairless bodies, and are primarily active in the heat of the afternoon. Paper wasps are mostly found in the spring through the beginning of fall in the roof eves, attic vents, bathroom roof vents and roof tiles.
The nests are treated with non pesticide, earth friendly essential oil solution to kill the wasps population and are physically removed if possible without deconstruction of the infested area (unless requested by client), for example inside the roofing tiles is normally not removable or nests located in the roof eves are removable.
We can also spray a non pesticide, earth friendly essential oils solution in high wasp traffic areas such as eves and under roofing tiles that can reduce population in the area. This has to be done every month for best results. It is a population reduction technique but does not always provide complete wasp elimination.
Fee: $125 and up, plus drive time - Price is based on $125 for a single story home with several small nests that need to be removed. If there are many nests or they are located on higher than the first story prices start at $225 and are adjusted by difficulty and time required to remove the nest. Please submit a removal request describing your unique situation for an estimate that encompasses your removal needs. All removals include a site survey (any exterior locations on the house eaves, shed, garage, etc.) to make sure there aren't any other nests. Inspection of attic or crawl space extra and charged by the size of the area needing to be inspected. This removal is most successful when done in the evening once the sun has set to allow all wasps to be present on their nest during the removal process.
